Amanda Hammock
Amanda Hammock is a two-time suicide attempt survivor. Since 2018, she has been an advocate for suicide awareness and prevention. As an attempt survivor, she believes that the unique perspective and insight that attempt survivors have should be included at all tables, meetings, and conversations pertaining to suicide prevention.
Working for the state legislature in Delaware County (PA) as a Chief of Staff gives Amanda an opportunity to make the attempt survivors voice heard. In addition to ending suicide, she is focused on raising awareness around suicide and mental health and removing the stigmatization of those who have attempted and those who have been lost to suicide. She believes in data-driven education and techniques to prevent suicide.
