DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n“Preventing Suicide for Future Generations”\n  Frank Campbell\, PhD\, LCSW\, CT\nSeptember 15\, 16\, & 17th Location: Best Western Premier 800 East Park Drive Harrisburg\, PA 17111\nSuicide Support Group Facilitator Training (9/15/2021):\nSuicide Prevention Alliance\, along with Dr. Frank Campbell\, will be offering an 8- hour workshop to train individuals (Suicide Loss Survivors\, First Responders\, Mental Health Professionals\, Suicide Prevention\, Task Forces\, clergy\, coroners).  This training will train individuals on how to start and facilitate a grief support group for suicide loss survivors.  This hands-on training will provide participants with a working knowledge of the unique aspects and concerns of suicide grief\, and suicide group facilitation. \n\nLOSS Training (9/16 – 9/17):\nDay 1: Hope & Healing\n8:00 am – 4:00 pm\nLEARN\n\nHow exposure to a traumatic event could result in an anxiety disorder and PTSD.\nA broadened view of those impacted by traumatic loss.\nThe value of forming a community where active postvention is an option.\nThe emotional benefit of getting help sooner versus later for survivors.\n\nDay 2: LOSS Team\n8:00 am – 2:30 pm + Optional Post Session\nLEARN\n\nRaise awareness of what potential volunteer LOSSteam members may experience.\nUnderstanding suicide and its impact on the community.\nCrime scene etiquette by local law enforcement experts.\nGetting started: who\, what\, where\, and when.\n\nCommunity Brainstorming Session 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm \n
