Dauphin County ASPIRE 2025 Suicide Prevention Conference

FreeDauphin County is pleased to announce the Second Annual conference hosted by Dauphin County ASPIRE – Allies for Suicide Prevention: Inspiring, Responding, Educating. This free conference is targeted to those who share an interest in preventing suicide across the lifespan, which includes: Psychologists. Social Workers, Counselors, Physicians, Nurses, Educators, Funeral Directors, County Coroners, Clergy, Suicide Prevention Task Forces, Crisis Center Staff, Volunteers in Suicide Prevention/Mental Health, Anyone with lived experience (those who have attempted or lost a loved one to suicide), and Anyone who has been impacted by suicide.
Keynote Speaker: John Draper, Ph.D. – Bio: President of Research, Development & Govt. Solutions Behavioral Health Link, Inc. Dr. John Draper brings over 35 years of dedicated experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention. As an international expert, he has pioneered essential services like New York City’s first 24/7 crisis hotline and led the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now 988) for 18 years. Dr. Draper’s work—spanning research, advocacy, and media—has advanced how communities respond to behavioral health crises. Since 2022, he continues this important mission at Behavioral Health Link, using research and technology to strengthen crisis care nationwide. His lifelong commitment inspires hope and supports those affected by suicide, reflecting our shared goal of compassionate, connected communities.
