25th Annual Candlelight Vigil in Remembrance of Those Lost to Suicide

September 10 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Twenty-five years ago, we gathered for the first time to remember those we had lost to suicide.

At the time, there was nothing like this in our area, a place where survivors of suicide loss could come together publicly, speak the names of the people we loved, remember their lives, and know we weren’t alone in our grief.

What began from that loss no one ever could have imagined.

For 25 years, families, friends, survivors, helping professionals, and members of our community have gathered by candlelight. We have spoken hundreds of names. We have shared stories, tears, music, silence, hugs, and hope.

25th Annual Candlelight Vigil in Remembrance of Those Lost to Suicide

When: September 10, 2026
Time: 7:00 PM (6:30 to visit sponsor tables)
Where: Rose Tree Park Gazebo

This year’s vigil will be especially meaningful as we recognize 25 years of remembrance, community, and hope.  As always, we will gather to remember those we love, read their names, light candles in their honor, and stand beside one another in the understanding that no one should have to walk through suicide loss alone.

𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐒𝐕𝐏
If you are planning to attend, 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐒𝐕𝐏 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 so that we can prepare enough candles and remembrance items for everyone attending.
💜 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗦 & 𝟮𝟱𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢
If you are attending and would like your loved one remembered during the reading of names, please send me their name with your RSVP.
As part of this year’s special 25th anniversary vigil, I am also creating a memorial video honoring the loved ones of those joining us that evening. If you would like your loved one included, please send 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟴.
Because our memorial list has grown tremendously over 25 years, we are no longer able to read every name or include every photograph that has been submitted over the years. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻.
📷 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟴
Please send your 𝐑𝐒𝐕𝐏, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 (𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨) to: 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚@𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐜𝐬𝐰.𝐜𝐨𝐦

And if you have never attended before, please know that you are welcome. You do not have to be a suicide loss survivor to stand with us.

Please save the date and share this invitation with anyone who may find comfort in being there.

Twenty-five years ago, a small group of us came together—each carrying the loss of someone we loved and a desire to create a place where those lives could be remembered openly.

Twenty-five years later, we are still gathering. Still remembering. Still saying their names. And the light is still burning.
