LOSS Team Training – Monroe-Carbon-Pike County Mental Health

LOSS Team is a group of suicide loss survivors, first responders and community members who provide information about resources, as well as offer comfort and hope to those impacted by the loss of a loved one.  The primary goal of the Active Postvention Model is to let suicide survivors know that resources exist as soon as possible following a death by suicide .

  • How exposure to a traumatic event could result in an anxiety disorder and PTSD.
  • A broadened view of those impacted by traumatic loss.
  • The value of forming a community where active postvention is an option.
  • The emotional benefit of getting help sooner versus later for survivors.
