Mary Brown is vice president of Suicide Prevention Alliance. She is the Coordinator for the Clearfield Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team since 2008. She saw the need to address the issue of suicide after the loss of several young people in her community to suicide. She is currently a Program Specialist II with Community Connections of Clearfield & Jefferson Counties based in DuBois, PA. That position allows her to work closely with their two-county crisis system offering suicide prevention resources and trainings to her community.

Mary is a Master Trainer for QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer, suicide prevention training) teaching those who want to instruct others in QPR Gatekeeper training. She is also certified in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).

Mary also collaborated with PA suicide prevention task forces as a member of a statewide program and as a team Coordinator. These teams are invaluable resources to their communities and resources for other teams.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with concentrations in Psychology and Special Education.
